“Yes, I just came from Canaan. Lord Sennet has finally won back Canaan Castle and the people are rallying behind him. He has publicly declared the demise of the Zoa Empire. And thus, he has requested peace negotiations in Nolzeria, as were promised by you.”
—Verna, in a conversation with Runan
Verna (ヴェーヌ Vēnu) is a playable character from TearRing Saga: Utna Heroes Saga. She is a dutiful and talented pegasus knight serving the Kingdom of Salia. She is the first daughter of Roberto and Clarice, making her the older sister of Mahter and Frau. She is also a niece of Maria and Lionheart, and a cousin of Renee, Rishel, Meriah, Sasha, Holmes, Plum, and Katri.
Verna is first seen when the Arial Mercenaries and the Leda Alliance Army come to the aid of Holmes. She acts as the vanguard of Sennet's army alongside Reshe. Later in the story, she appears before Runan and informs him about Sennet's actions in the war. During their conversation, she mentions that it deeply pains her heart to think about Reshe suffering. She joins Runan's army before he travels to Nolzeria to meet with Sennet.
In the epilogue, Verna returns to Salia with her two younger sisters.
Automatically from the start of Map 36.
|Item Required||Promoted Class|
|Dragon Flute||Dragon Knight|
Verna joins very late in the game at quite a low level. She has rather poor base stats, although her growths are not too different from that of Mahter and Sasha. One of her main points is that she comes with the extremely powerful ☆Salia Lance, which greatly helps her offense, although it can be given to other characters instead. Due to the heavy competition for the quite rare Dragon Flutes, she is unlikely to receive a promotion, as she is outclassed by all three of the other pegasus knights. Verna also has flying utility, which is not particularly useful because she joins in the last chapter that takes place outdoors.
