Pelleas casting Verrine on an Order Fire Sage. | ||||||||

Verrine (ウェリネ Uerine) is an S-ranked Dark Magic tome from Fire Emblem: Radiant Dawn. Like most other Dark spells, this tome is extremely powerful, but lacking in accuracy. Only two copies of the tome exist in the game, with one being held by Pelleas, and the other purchasable from Aimee in Chapter 4-F-1. The scarcity of the Verrine tome is usually not a problem, as only two playable characters are capable of wielding Dark Magic, both of whom only join the player's army in the later chapters of his/her second play-through onwards.

Etymology
Edit
- In Admirable History by Father Sebastien Michaelis, Verrine, or Verin, is the name of a demon mentioned under the first hierarchy of the book. He is one of the princes of Thrones, second only to Astaroth, and tempts men to impatience. Verrine is opposed by St. Dominic.
- Verrine is an archaic French word that means "Window".
