Victor (ヴィクトル Vikutoru) is a character from Fire Emblem: Genealogy of the Holy War. He is the former Duke of Velthomer, and the father of both Arvis and Azelle. He is also the husband of Cigyun for a certain period of time, and a major descendent of Fala. He is the grandfather of Julius, Julia and Saias.
Victor was infamous for having a myriad of mistresses, taking Cigyun as his wife at an unknown point in time. When Arvis was about seven years of age, Victor raped Cigyun's favorite maid while in a drunken stupor, accidentally impregnating her in the process. Victor then ordered for the immediate banishment of the maid, but was stopped by Cigyun, allowing her to remain in the castle.
These heart-wrenching events severely impacted Cigyun, causing her to have an affair with the person who had helped and supported her the most, Prince Kurth. When Victor learnt of this news, he lost his mind, resulting in him writing a letter to ridicule both Cigyun and Prince Kurth before committing suicide. In the Oosawa manga adaptation, Victor is observed to lay, spread-eagled, on the floor in the middle of a pool of a dark substance. This substance does not specify the exact method used by Victor to kill himself, but it is implied that he might have died of self-poisoning. This is confirmed in volume six.
Victor is mentioned very briefly in the game, specifically that of Chapter 2. He does not appear in-game, as his death took place several years before the events of Genealogy of the Holy War.
