Volzhin is the boss of Chapter 12 in Fire Emblem: Ankoku Ryū to Hikari no Tsurugi, Fire Emblem: Mystery of the Emblem, and Fire Emblem: Shadow Dragon. He carries the Bolganone tome, which he will drop when he is defeated. His powerful magic can make him very difficult to defeat. It is stated by Camus when you meet him in a village that Volzhin stole a Thoron tome from Boah, which Camus himself stole later.

• He is one of the few Human bosses in the Akaneia series that's from Doluna.
• In Fire Emblem: Shadow Dragon's hard mode, he is the first boss who uses Magic as a weapon.
• Volzhin's has one of the more unique boss portraits in Ankoku Ryu to Hikari no Tsurugi as while still an alteration of Jiol, he is depicted with a robe instead of armor.
