Wrys (リフ, translated Rif in the Japanese versions) is a priest that appears in chapter 1 of Fire Emblem: Shadow Dragon. He is a curate from Talys who joins Marth to defend his nation from the pirates.
He was one of the characters removed from Fire Emblem: Mystery of the Emblem, though he reappears in the DS remake Fire Emblem: Shin Monshō no Nazo ~Hikari to Kage no Eiyū~.
Towards the beginning of the game, Wrys seems very useful because he can heal your units. However, later on, he is not of much use because Lena surpasses him. A problem with Wrys is that his strength is unusually high for a priest and does not make much use for him, unless his class is changed into another class (i.e. Cavalier).
